Alexey Golovin is significantly inspired by the themes and characters form Greek mythology. In his dramatically alluring artworks, the artist blends tradition and modernity through his hyperrealist technique and oil on canvas. Dita Luse explores the way in which light brings out the depth and atmosphere of spaces in her art, and she uses it to create a sense of silence and solitude. Medieval patterns enhance the depth as they seem loaded with memories and add a dimension of time to the paintings. Paolo Medici creates his artworks by using an unusual technique - frottage - that exploits the rubbing of oil wax crayons on paper, and then on canvas, thus creating exquisite ornaments superimposed on the female portraits. Roberta Diazzi mesmerises the audience with her exquisite technique of creating female portraits from Swarovski Crystals on plexiglass. Lastly, Solmaz Tohidloo is influenced by the themes by Middle East culture, which she portrays in her paintings by using contemporary elements from visual culture, which she enhances with bright colours.
